This is the first new post on my very new website and I couldn’t imagine launching it with anything better than Kirby & Tom’s country manor wedding in Wales!
The day started with Kirby, with her unassuming and modest beauty, nervous about the day that she had been looking forward to so much. The house was a flurry of activity when I arrived, Kirby’s Mum, Dad and sister Reilly getting the marquee in the garden ready for the wedding reception. A dear family friend was making bouquets in the kitchen, the bridesmaids were getting ready in an adjacent room to Kirby’s while she was getting her make-up done. The day itself had presence, you could feel the anticipation, the stress, the worry, the excitement! Fast forward to the ceremony and I found Tom was equally having such a nervous time, wracked with nerves, he couldn’t keep still at all until… Kirby made her entrance – time stopped still it seemed. The look on Tom’s face was at first stunned at how gorgeous Kirby looked and then relief as he was about to marry the woman he so obviously loves. We returned to the house for the wedding reception in the marquee which had a classic literature theme as Kirby is an avid book fanatic. The speeches made everyone laugh and cry and soon the evening was upon us which led to some lovely dusk portraits and then into the night with some magical tea lights hanging from a grand old tree. I couldn’t have asked for more.
I can’t express how much of a great couple these two wonderful people I’m happy to now call friends make. I hope you enjoy all the images I had to stop myself from putting all 500 images on here, please leave some love in the comments at the bottom. Tx.
